Since graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UWA (University of Western Australia) in 2004 I have focused on kiln formed glass from my Perth studio. The seed for UPWARDLY MOBILE was sown when I successfully exhibited some images of microscopic glass as a slideshow at the National Museum of Australia, Canberra. Entries were judged in a national competition. The images were projected in a loop at night onto an enormous white wall in the Museum's Garden of Australian Dreams, 2004. I design work in 2 ways. Linear and Painterly. Upwardly Mobile being linear

I photograph glass at the microscopic level utilizing Dept. of Anatomy microscopes at UWA. . I successfully exhibited some images of microscopic glass as a slideshow at the National Museum of Australia, Canberra. Entries were judged in a national competition. The images were projected in a loop at night onto an enormous white wall in the Museum's Garden of Australian Dreams, 2004. I am fascinated by the fact that microscopic imagery of glass closely resembles the landscape, and realise that nature is more wonderful by accident than humans could possibly contrive. I designed the lettering for the stained glass windows in St Pius X Catholic Church, South Perth, and Clontarf Aboriginal College. GLASS WORKSHOPS ATTENDED Judi Elliot. NSW Glass Artist.
